The Canaan Neighborhood: When You Need Some Assistance With Your Care Canaan is an intermediate care area providing more assistance while still accommodating each resident with a level of independence. Residents living in Canaan are mobile and can navigate around the building, but need help with daily tasks. Licensed as “Sheltered Care” which is like Assisted Living, Canaan offers the following services all-inclusive in the price: utilities, housekeeping, laundry and linen service, all meals in our dining room, medication management and administration, all activities, assistance with bathing/showers, and ten minutes of daily personal care. Nurses are always on-duty 24 hours a day in the building and are making rounds and passing medications to these residents. Limited additional nursing services can be provided for a fee. All rooms are equipped with a nurse call light system in case of an emergency. Canaan - Sheltered Care:
