1966 - Present 
1912 - 1966 The Apostolic Christian Home opened in 1912 in Peoria at 711 N Monroe Street. In 1966 we moved to our present location at 7023 NE Skylines Drive. We now serve all of Central Illinois as a Continuing Care Retirement Facility (CCRC.) We are licensed by the State of Illinois as a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), are Medicare certified and have an in-house skilled therapy team. Other service offerings include long-term nursing and custodial care, a specialized dementia care center (Salem), sheltered care, independent living apartments and duplexes. We also provide In-Home Care Services (giving the same quality of care right in your home.) Skylines is owned by the Apostolic Christian Church of Peoria and supported by the Peoria, Princeville, and Bradford Apostolic Christian church congregations. These congregations plus other individuals faithfully give a high level of support to Skylines through prayer, donations, and volunteering. Resident-Centered: We Make Decisions Based on What Our Residents Tell Us Apostolic Christian Skylines is governed by a local board of directors. This active volunteer board meets monthly to discuss financial, operational, and long-range issues. The administrative team consists of an Administrator, Assistant Administrator, Director of Nursing, and a leader from each department. The resident council, food council, and the advisory board meet monthly to give recommendations to the Administrative team to implement. We make decisions based on feedback from our residents—not from a far away corporate office.
